When it came time to enroll our child in preschool, we sought out a Montessori school and chose to investigate Tas Montessori program due to the glowing reviews I heard from a number of personal friends. Having already toured other preschool programs in the area, I felt an immediate difference from just walking in the building. The open layout of the school, the engaging and unique tools they use to teach, along with the implementation of the Montessori method of hands-on learning and meeting each child at their individual level was very appealing, but what sealed the deal for me was the kindness and aptitude of the teachers and staff. As an anxious first-time parent, I was put at ease from the initial interview as the staff actively listened to my concerns and questions without judgement. Once my son was enrolled, the staff secured my trust with updates and the way they interacted with him. Both of my sons were quick to find solace and friendship in the teachers and staff at TMS. We were so pleased with this program that we enrolled our second child at 18 months, even though we had waited until our oldest was 4 before putting him into any type of school. Our children have grown not only academically but socially, growing into well-rounded students, with marked improvements noted in self-confidence and a love of learning - it is wonderful. Some of my favorite outcomes include listening to my boys sing songs about the continents, hearing them say hello in several languages and seeing the delight in their faces as they exhibit their projects and knowledge.
Ms. Lindsay is a mainspring of Tas Montessori and a large reason that we chose this specific school. She has been instrumental in growing and educating both of our children, giving me sound advice and directions when sought. She is never too busy to answer any questions or concerns I may have as a parent and often greets us at the door, always with a smile and a hug for my little ones, making us feel welcomed and valued. She is caring and treats all who enter with respect. I know she is taking excellent care of my children, specifically because when my youngest is not in the mood for school, I can tell him Ms. Lindsay will be there and he instantly will feel better about going, signifying that they have created a positive relationship and my son feels safe going there. Parents can view the TMS social media page and find images of Ms. Lindsay engaging and teaching the children. When you drop off or pick up your kids you can witness her taking part in their day and sharing in activities. It’s clear that what she is doing and teaching children is not just a job to her. It is her passion. She is organized and strives to provide a clean, safe and fun learning environment. Planning fun days and educational events that help to inspire a love of learning, even sending kind reminders for busy parents. Someone that can deftly care for children, parents and be a strong leader for employees is a talented person. I am so thankful she is a part of Tas Montessori and my children’s childhood!
Absolutely adore this school. If you want more reviews visit the Facebook Page. That's where all the parents (including myself) comment. Wonderful teachers, authentic Montessori teachings, and great results.
The staff are kind and compassionate, and my children are so happy there. They are learning every day through practical exercises and play, so the information sticks in their minds. Also, the school has been accommodating toward some of our personal anxiety issues and they've allowed my kids to cope and self-soothe in ways that benefit them. I highly recommend this school for young children and early elementary kids.
